History and background

The foundations of our indoor bowls arena were first laid in February 1997 and the first bowl was rolled in October 1997. We now boast one of the best indoor bowling surfaces in the country and regularly host International Championships.

The indoor bowls rinks are open all year round. Rinks can be booked Monday-Sunday from 10am, the last booking being at 6.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12noon on Sunday.

Our Sunday Lunch attracts regular customers from the whole of the Vale of Glamorgan. Enjoy a delicious meal, in warm, pleasant surroundings, served directly to your table.

Apart from just playing for fun, we have a competitive programme of bowls which accommodates all levels of ability. Our calendar includes national competitions, leagues and cup competitions, friendlies and inter-club matches throughout the season.

In addition to Indoor Bowls and Petanque (Boules) on our outside rinks, we also have a very active Social calendar. Bingo every Thursday from 2-15pm, Fun Quiz Night on the last Friday of every month, 8pm start, and regular events from Race Nights to themed Dinner Evenings.

The indoor bowls area boasts a large lounge area with panoramic views overlooking the Bristol Channel. The lounge has a restaurant serving a good menu of food throughout the day and evening, including breakfast. Hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks are also readily available. There is a well-stocked licensed bar which is also open most of the day. This is the ideal spot to meet up with friends in warm, pleasant surroundings.
